BIOGRAPHY:
Anna Mclean was a 4 year player with the Gaels. She averaged a double double (10.7 points, 10.1 rebounds per game.) in 34 games for Iona her junior year. She finished her career as Iona’s all-time leading rebounder (427 offensive/459 defensive/886 total), Blocked Shots (185), and games played (128). Anna finished 6th for Iona’s single season record in field goal percentage (.526%) and free throw attempts (154). Anna is 12th all-time in scoring (1,052 points) and 10th in field goals made (431) for individual career records at Iona. In her junior year she was selected to the ALL-MAAC Second Team and earned MAAC Player of the week honors twice.
BEFORE IONA:
She was a four year varsity basketball player at Freeport High School. She was named All-County and team MVP as a sophomore. Anna Earned 1st team All-County, All-State, and All-Long Island honors as a junior and senior.

Biography:
Marissa Flagg was a 4 year player with the Gaels. She averaged 6.5 points and nearly 3 assists per game in 31 games for Iona her senior year. She was a pest on defense posting 6 steals against Canisius. She scored a season high against St. Francis (Pa.) with 16 points. In her senior year she averaged 24.4 minutes per game. She currently is playing professionally overseas.
Marissa Flagg was a four year starting point guard on the Cardozo Lady Judges. As a senior captain she averaged 15.6 points and 5.1 assists per game. She led Cardozo in points, assists, and free-throws all in her senior season while also finishing her career with over a 1,000 career points. She guided her PSAL squad to the elite 8 round of the playoffs. She played AAU basketball for the Abyssinian Church, the Gazelles, and Long Island Lightning. She achieved several high honor awards for achievements at Cardozo. They were:

Nicole Capurso

Nicole Capurso was recruited to play guard for Hofstra University. In her freshman year at Hofstra she was named to All-Colonial Athletic Association Rookie Team, she received CAA Commissioner’s Academic Award, and named to the all-tournament team at St. Peter’s Holiday Classic. Her freshman year she was 2nd on the team in scoring, 3rd in the CAA in 3-point percentage and 4th in three-pointers made. She was awarded as the CAA Rookie of the Week three times. Nicole was named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association Academic second team and received the CAA Commissioners Academic Award in her sophomore season. She scored 23 points and five three pointers against Providence. She pulled down 7 rebounds at St. Francis (NY).
BEFORE HOFSTRA UNIVERSITY:
Nicole was a four year basketball player at St. John Villa Academy in Staten Island, New York. She was named as the teams Most Valuable Player 3 times. In Nicole’s senior season at St. John Villa Academy she led all of Staten Island in men’s and women’s basketball in scoring with 22.9 points per game. To go along with those 22.9 points per game she also averaged 9.4 rebounds, 3.4 steals, and 2.1 assists per game. She scored more than 1,000 points in her high school career at St. John Villa while becoming just the third player in St. John Villa history to reach this mark. While also excelling on the court Nicole excelled in the classroom receiving All-County Academic Award honors in her senior year. Nicole Capurso was also recruited by Boston College, St. John’s, Fordham, and Pittsburgh.

Katie Lynch committed to play for the Mount Saint Mary’s women’s volleyball team. Katie Lynch graduated from West Hempstead high school on Long Island. She was a versatile athlete in high school. Katie was named to the All-Conference team in basketball, was an MVP selection, and played three years on the varsity team. She was named as a scholar athlete in lacrosse while playing on the varsity team for three years. Katie was named MVP, scholar-athlete, and All-Conference for volleyball while at West Hempstead.
Shante Evans committed to play basketball at Hofstra University. In her freshman season she was named to the Second team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection. She was also a CAA All-Rookie selection and named CAA Rookie of the week three times. She led the Colonial Athletic Association Conference in rebounding. In her sophomore season she distinguished herself as a force in the conference and as an elite player nationally. The Associated Press named Shante Evans as an Honorable Mention All-American. She also was named to the ECAC Division I All Star second team, first team All-Colonial Athletic Association selection, All-Met Division I first team by Met Basketball Writers Association, and was named CAA Player of the Week four times. She accomplished this by leading the Pride in scoring (18.4) and rebounds (11) per game. She produced 16 double-doubles and ranked third in the CAA in scoring, second in rebounding, and third in field goal percentage. Shante enters her junior season as the first-ever sophomore in Hofstra history to reach 1,000 career points. She enters her junior season already ranked 8th all-time in Hofstra history in rebounding. She also represented and played for the United States Women's Basketball team in the Pan-American games held in Mexico in 2011.
BEFORE HOFSTRA:
Shante Evans graduated high school at Henderson High School in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Shante lettered in basketball and track and field at Henderson. She helped guide Henderson to a state tournament for the first time in school history. At Henderson she became the first player, male or female, ever setting an all-time career high in points with 2,168. She was the first female player to reach 1,000 career points at Henderson high school. She was a McDonald’s All-America nominee and named Player of the Year in 2009 by the Daily Local News. Marie Malone began her collegiate career playing in the Big East for West Virginia where her team advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. She transferred to Hofstra where she was 3rd on the team in rebounds and second in blocks (13th in CAA).
Marie Malone graduated high school at Kellam high school in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In high school she was a force on the court her senior season. In her senior season she averaged 19.9 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocked shots per game as a senior. Her success at Kellam high school led her to be ranked as the 23rd best center and 89th best player by All-Star Girl’s Report as a senior. She earned Defensive player of the Year honors that propelled her to 2nd All-Beach District and 2nd team All-Eastern Region her senior year.

Isoken Uzamere was a four year player at Hofstra University. She contributed offensively and defensively on the boards for Hofstra. She consistently brought energy and accountability to the players on the team. She was named to the Honorable Mention Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic team.
Isoken Uzamere played basketball at Brentwood high school. At Brentwood high school Isoken led her team in rebounding offensively and defensively. She is the all-time leading rebounder at Brentwood high school. In her junior and sophomore season she earned all-league honors. Isoken in her junior year was named to the All-Suffolk County second team. She participated in the Metro Classic game for top high school players in the New York. Isoken also competed in the Empire State Games as a member of the Long Island scholastic team.
Carrem Gay

Carrem Gay was a 4 year player with the Duke Blue Devils. Duke was ranked in the top 25 in women’s basketball in the United States during her four years on the squad. In her sophomore season she started all 34 games for Duke. In her sophomore year she ranked 2nd in field goals percentage (58.1%) in the ACC. She was the only player on Duke her sophomore year to score double-figures in all 3 NCAA contests. Carrem Gay earned First Team All-ACC Tournament honors after averaging 12 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2 assists her senior year. She helped lead Duke to the National title game her freshman season, the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 as a sophomore and junior, and NCAA 2nd round her senior year. Carrem also help lead Duke to a 45-7 ACC conference record and a 109-19 overall record in her four years at Duke. Carrem Gay finished her career at Duke ranked 9th All-Time for blocks (80) and 4th All-Time for charges (31) taken. She earned Duke Student Athlete-of-the-Week honors on January 5th 2007. Carrem was signed to a training camp contract by the Connecticut Sun in April 2009.
BEFORE DUKE:
Carrem Gay graduated high school from Christ the King in New York where she averaged 18.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 5.3 blocks, and 4.7 assists per game in her senior year. She helped lead Christ the King to a 27-0 record leading Christ the King to the number one (#1) ranking in the final national ranking in the USA Today Super 25 poll. She was selected as New York Miss Basketball and also was selected as the winner of the Dave DeBusschere Award which is given out by the New York Knicks as the top female athlete in the New York area. Carrem was a member of the McDonald’s All-America East Team. She played for the White Team in the WBCA High School All-America East Team. She was USA Today’s Preseason Super 25 girl’s player’s selection, ranked a top-25 player by Street & Smith’s in the 2003-04 preseason, second team All-America by Scout.com, Newsday player of the year, and Newsday All-City Second Team as a sophomore and Junior. Carrem attended the Nike All-America camp in 2003 and earned All-Star honors at the Adidas Top 10 camp. She played for the Liberty Belles AAU team.
Etienne Brower

Etienne Brower played forward for UMASS (University of Massachusetts) Men’s basketball program. His senior year at UMASS, Etienne was third on the team with 12.7 points/game and second on the team with 6.9 rebounds (ninth in the A-10 conference) per game. He shot a .457% field goal percentage and a .429% three point percentage (5th in A-10 Conference) in 30.1 minutes per game in 36 games for the Minuteman. He is ranked 8th in the single season record for UMASS in three pointers made (82). Etienne has played professionally for a league in France called Ligue Nationale de Basketball.
NOTABLE GAMES:
In his final college game he finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds in NIT final against Ohio State. He had 12 rebounds and 8 points in a win over Florida in NIT semifinal game. Scored 16 of his final 19 points in second half and added 5 assists in miracle comeback win against Big East opponent Syracuse in NIT quarterfinals. Etienne had 9 points and 9 rebounds against Vanderbilt.

Etienne Brower graduated High School from West Hempstead High School. He helped lead West Hempstead to the class “B” New York State Championship game in 2003.

Harris Wichard is a guard for Suny New Paltz. In his sophomore season he averaged 12.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game for New Paltz. He played on the USA Athletes International (USAAI) squad which traveled to Croatia, Bosnia, and Italy. Harris Wichard graduated from Bellmore JFK High School.

Nicole Emery was a four year player for Seton Hall Pirates. She was third on the team in scoring (9.5 points/game), minutes (27.6 min/game), rebounding (4.1 reb/game), and second in steals (37) her senior year.
In her junior year Nicole had 14 points off the bench against Rutgers and also had 14 points, four rebounds, and 3 steals against Villanova.
BEFORE SETON HALL:
Nicole led Holy Trinity High School to two state championships while compiling 1,366 career points. Nicole was among the top female basketball players in the nation as a senior. She was ranked 68 by Blue Star Basketball Top 100 Seniors and 142 by the All-Star Girls Report. Nicole Emery was named as a Street and Smith All-American Honorable Mention East in 2004.

Shinann Featherston freshman season (2008-09) at North Carolina was ranked 83rd in the ITA national singles poll. She was ranked 12 in the country and 4th in the Southeast Region in doubles play. She had entered her sophomore season ranked 18th in the Carolinas region in singles. She has posted victories in singles and doubles over top 25 opponents in the nation. In her sophomore season she won the consolation draw of the Freeman Memorial Championship in Las Vegas with three consecutive wins over opponents from the Pac 10. She is one of four members of the North Carolina women’s tennis team to be named to the 2010 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team.
BEFORE NORTH CAROLINA:
Shinann Featherston graduated high school from St. Francis Prep in Flushing, New York where she was named 2008 National High School Tennis Athlete of the Year. She went undefeated in singles all four years of high school. She helped lead St. Francis Prep to four consecutive state titles, was a two time New York State high school champ. She was considered one of the top 10 recruits in the country according to Tennisrecruiting.net. She played doubles for the Junior U.S. Open in 2006. She is considered to be one of the most accomplished female tennis players to come out of New York City in the past 20 years according to the New York Daily News.

Emma O’Connor committed to Marist College. She graduated from Kellenberg High School in New York where she helped lead Kellenberg to the NSCHSAA championships for two consecutive seasons. She ended her career at Kellenberg’s by becoming the all-time leading women’s scorer with 1,011 points in just three seasons. She averaged 18 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists, and four blocked shots. Emma was selected to the 3rd team class AA All-State Team. She was also selected to Newsday’s All-Long Island Team as a junior and also was selected to the All-Star Team at the New York State Federation Basketball Tournament. She was name Nassau County Player of the Year her senior season.
Megan Vasquez
College: Yale University (Ivy League Conference)

Megan Vasquez committed to Yale University to play basketball. In just her freshman year she led the Bulldogs in scoring (11.5pts/game), assists (2.3/game), and steals (41). She played in all 28 games posting double-digit figures in 20 of the 28 games. In her first game Megan scored 15 points. She has scored a career high 19 points on three different occasions her freshman season. She dished a career high 7 assists against Columbia. Megan Vasquez was a unanimous choice for the All-Ivy Rookie Team. She helped lead the Yale Bulldogs (2009-10 season) to their best overall finish in addition to their conference record (8-6) since 2001-02 season.
BEFORE YALE:
Megan graduated high school from Sanford H. Calhoun in Merrick, NY. She was the first player in school history to reach 2,000 career points (finished 2,077). She is the first athlete in school history to have her number retired. She was McDonald’s All-America Nominee, Wendy’s High School Heisman State Finalist, 2008-09 Nassau County Player of the Year, Two-Time Newsday All-Long Island First Team Selection, and 2008 AAU Nationals All-American. Megan and her sister hold Long Island high School record for sisters with 3,725 combined points.

1. Speed, Quickness, & Agility: Whether it’s on defense or offense, having a quick first step will determine who has the advantage and who will make the play. Speed will determine if you are quick enough to the baseball and make the play on the diamond. It will also determine if you can leg out an extra base hit. Kinetic Energy will train you to develop the proper mechanics necessary to develop quick feet and balance. We’ll help you increase your range so you can cover more ground on defense.
2. Strength & Power: Kinetic Energy will train you through a variety of muscle recruitment exercises so you will have the strength and power to drive the ball a long way and with authority. We’ll help you maximize your strength, power, and explosiveness to drive the baseball harder, further, and with power to all parts of the field. Kinetic Energy will train you through a variety of innovative techniques that will focus on muscle recruitment exercises, core exercises, and lower body exercises.
